The new year has arrived... 2008 is history and 2009 is here to stay (well, at least for the next 365 days). I'm not much of a New Year's resolution person. It's no secret that most of them don't get kept (at least not for very long!), and it's always seemed a little silly to me that we needed a specific date as an excuse to make positive changes in our lives. So I won't be making any resolutions tonight, but I will make the same pledge I've made the last several years: I hope to make 2009 a better year than 2008 and come out the end a better person than I am tonight.
